Work on site this summer has focused on completing repairs to the Doocot and installing the footpath and contemplation circle.
The path is now in, providing easy access for everyone to the Doocot and the North side of the gardens whilst complementing the existing formal garden design. New turf has been added where ground works were carried out. The stone for the contemplation circle in the North has been laid and includes interpretation designed by Artibrand / Lyndsey Clark and carved by local stonemason, Gardner Molloy.
Works are continuing on the Tower to address the different types of decay. We want to keep as much of the existing stonework as possible so we have to very carefully decide which stones need replaced, which stones can be repaired, and which stones can be left as they are!
